Museum guides are always happy to become willing accomplices to unique engagements. We remember one fellow who asked for the ring to be hidden inside our enormous three and one-half order lens. When he visited with his girlfriend he casually mentioned that he would like to see the light bulb inside. A staff member opened the port to reveal the ring and the man asked his astonished girlfriend to marry him. Another couple became engaged at the top of the tower and returned a few months later to be married topside!
